It's nearly Christmas and for the first time ever we are organising our very one, me and Lee. My best little sister and her boyfriend are coming and I can not wait! I had to keep myself busy doing Christmassy things like these PIPARI creatures. Pipari is a Finnish version of gingerbread.
I said goodbye to the young me, and with mixed feelings welcomed the 30-something woman just few weeks ago. What made all this far less dramatic was the fact that my oldest and best friend Sara had her birthday right after mine. I decided to make her accessories to mark this grand occasion. My inspiration came from the idea that 1920s was all crazy and swinging but the 1930s much more glamorous. She had a moustache theme party for her big day and so for the 20s present I made her pearls with a hairy twist. For the more grown-up look of the 30s I altered a sparkly cardigan with some fab buttons.
Below is me modelling the outfit before wrapping it up and sending it to Finland...
This is how the present looked just before the posting!

It's over. Uni is over. I have had a long mental holiday from anything creative other than how to have fun with my friends. Above is me with my Racing Granny characters in our final show.Below is a slightly tipsy me on the opening night...It was all hard work putting up the shows and well graduating. Phew.
Everyone had to do their shift guarding the show. It was bit boring... Below more pictures of my stuff on the show. We also did our own external show called OVO near Old street. It was a success but unfortunately I don't have any photos from there. Amelia's Magazine did a story about it though. They featured my stuff too!!!
Now I need to get back being creative and producing stuff as a professional bloody person instead of a student! Hooray and OH DEAR
Last Friday was the deadline for Macmillan Children's Book illustration competition...and I made it! Above are all 6 double spreads I submitted as larger and fancier prints.
This is the cover of my book as it is on my dummy.Below are the spreads as they are in the dummy and as larger prints. All together I made the whole book but the rest of the pages appear only in the dummy. I will post them soon...
