Space Shoot: the COCKPIT

And then we get to the MASTERPIECE: the life-size spaceship cockpit!
Above Jess is working on the front window.

Below the cockpit has just arrived to the studio and is still wrapped in plastic.

Meanwhile professional lighting dudes worked on some professional lights we made magic happen with fairy lights. All the buttons on the walls where lit up and it looked so convincing. Again, I cried a bit.

 The control panel.

Mila in action. She was amazing! I'm proud that our spaceship was given for her control. She deserved it more than anyone else could have!

Everything looked even more magical trough the camera.

Space Shoot: the UNIVERSE

This was the first scene we shot, where the spaceship takes off. I had to operate it. My moment of glory indeed.

The spaceship got attached in front of the camera and flew past stars, planets and asteroids. It was BEAUTIFUL! I cried secretly.

Space Shoot: the MOON

For the massive moonscape we ordered the biggest block of polystyrene ever seen to a man! When it arrived we were in heaven! Our studio turned into a winter wonderland in no time...

The party door...

Space Shoot: DOORS

We finished the video shoot for Mila Falls already few months ago but since my life went upside down around the same time, I haven't managed to update any photos here...well until NOW! Here we go: this is how we became super duper amazing space set designers and builders. I'v divided the shoot in 4 posts because there were so many pictures. This first one is all about doors. Above is the life size section of the door for the bouncer. All the glory goes to Jessica who worked all night on it.

The main door was the one of the spaceship. It had to be functional for the shoot where Mila steps out of the crash landed ship.
This is just me being silly

Working on the gold paint job. We love gold spray paint!

Finished product on the shoot.

Mila in action! I have to have her shoes!!!!!
